Blue Star Welcome Week is a nationwide initiative that celebrates military families and helps connect those who are new to their communities with local neighbors, organizations, resources, and opportunities. As military families relocate to new duty stations, finding community and learning about available services can make all the difference in creating a successful transition. This event is designed to ensure military families feel welcomed, connected, and supported from the moment they arrive in Maryland. Take a look at the video link here for more information
This year's event is expected to welcome approximately 250 military family members, many of whom are new to the Maryland area. Families will enjoy food, music, games, children's activities, and opportunities to meet organizations that provide valuable services, programs, employment resources, educational opportunities, recreation, healthcare, and family support.
